S-CountryDesk is the international network of the Savings Banks Finance Group. The Savings Banks Finance Group (Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe), with 620 independent financial institutions, a staff of 348.000, 50 million customers and a total volume of business of some € 3,000 billion, is one of the largest groups of credit institutions in the world. Its component savings banks, Landesbanken and other network members hold important market positions in retail banking and financial services for corporates, namely small and medium enterprises. Savings banks have a presence in all regions of Germany.

The Savings Banks Idea is an European Idea

German savings banks today enjoy the benefits of an extended network of traditional, like-minded partners in the majority of European countries. The European Savings Banks Group and the World Savings Banks Institute have established a consolidated institutional framework for international business cooperation.
