Norwegen

Working life in Norway – different, problematic or challenging?

Veranstalter:Deutsch-Norwegische Handelskammer

Veranstaltungsort:Drammensveien 111b, Oslo

Working in an international environment is quite common today. But working together with people from all over the world often comes with challenges due to cultural differences. Management, meeting or communication styles, decision-making processes and hierarchy for example are culture-specific, and can affect projects and business relations. Cultural awareness and understanding can help to avoid misunderstandings, conflicts and complications.

In this workshop, the main characteristics of the Norwegian working culture will be worked out and analyzed. Only when the employees of different countries are aware of different behaviors and values, one can understand the behavior of Norwegian business partners or colleagues much better and they are all able to work together more efficiently and successfully. The workshop will show why and where misunderstandings can occur and how to avoid them.
